NBAC successfully conducted its flagship event “Pitch Date With Angels” on 16th September 2022

Nepal Business Angels Circle (NBAC) successfully conducted its flagship event on September 16th 2022. The event was organized with an intent to assist early-stage startups to find investors for their ventures. NBAC is a facilitated angel network led by Investment Circle P. Ltd.

Investment is one of the, if not the primary needs for entrepreneurs and startups for their venture’s sustainability and growth. Whether it is during the early days of pilot testing, for developing an initial customer base, for developing channels, building a team, or for scaling up, access to investment is the key to progress. As the interest in startups and entrepreneurship develops, there is a desperate need for access to alternative investments in early-stage ventures and companies that have a promise if met with the right assistance and support. With this understanding, Investment Circle is facilitating an Angel Network, Nepal Business Angels Circle (NBAC), to provide access to early-stage investment and mentorship to promising startups. The event, Pitch Date with Angels is one of the NBAC’s flagship program focused on bringing angel investors and startups together to discuss investment possibilities.

The best 3 startups were selected among many applications and made pitch presentation on main event at our Investment Circle office premise. Those 3 selected startups were Himalyan Floriculure Nepal, Reverse Vending Machine Nepal Pvt. Ltd and Saino Marketplace. They pitch their business ideas among our angel investors. Some of our angels investors who have honored us with their presence were Mr. Narottam Aryal, Mr. Subash Thapa, Mr. Kishore Dhungana, Mr. Rishav Thapa and Mr. Udgam Khadka. Each startups were given 15 minutes time frame to pitch their ideas among angels then it was followed by questions and answers session where angels asked their queries and provided feedbacks to startups. The icing moment of the event was an networking session where the angels and startups enjoy networking and causal talks with refreshing snacks. Good network where built through the entire session.

Event like this “Pitch Date with Angels” is much needed platform for startups to get connect with investors and get chance to fundraising in-order to expand their businesses to higher height. Through the successful conduct of the event has marked as milestone in this startup ecosystem in Nepal.
